Power film - how does it work?
Power is a five-layer machine stretch film with added reinforcing polymers. The polymers increase its strength and raise the working stretch to as much as 350%, whereas standard machine stretch film has a stretch of 180%. At 300% stretch, every metre of film from the roll extends to four metres on the stretch wrapper.

Power has a higher working stretch than standard machine stretch film.
We give the working stretch on a typical stretch wrapper. The upper range depends on the stretch wrapper, which is why we set it in the test batch.

You talk to our technologist
Our technologist talks to you for 15 minutes about your load and stretch wrapper, and then writes down the film thickness, stretch and width. Result: a written proposal for the thickness and stretch of Power film.
You check the test batch on your stretch wrapper
You wrap your pallets with it, and we start the series after your confirmation. Result: you know Power will hold your load before you order a series.
You receive Power to the agreed parameters
We produce Power film to the parameters approved in the test batch. Result: every delivery is the same as the test batch.
You order from stock
We keep stock of your item in our warehouse, and further deliveries go out according to your schedule. Result: the film arrives when you need it.
Our technologist will contact you and agree the parameters, and then we will prepare a test batch.
Transport
We deliver film with our own fleet.
We deliver film and cores with our own lorries, so we are responsible for the delivery date and the condition of the load ourselves. Stock of your item waits in our warehouse, and further deliveries go out according to your schedule.

Costs
Power film - what are the costs?
The price of Power film depends on the thickness and your monthly volume. We prepare the quote once we receive the specification: what you wrap, on what stretch wrapper and how much film you use a month.
Power is thinner and has a higher working stretch than standard film, so you wrap more with every kilogram. The calculator alongside works out how much less film you will use with Power.
The calculator converts thickness and working stretch at a width of 500 mm and a film density of 0.92 g/cm³. It does not take into account the number of wraps or the stretch wrapper settings, and the upper stretch depends on the machine. That is why you check the result in a test batch on your stretch wrapper.
