Meet Dominopack, producer of stretch film and cardboard cores.

We help companies secure pallets with less film. We produce stretch film and cardboard cores, match them to the load and deliver them with our own fleet to 1,500 regular customers in eight countries.

Who are we and how do we work?

What do we do?

Dominopack is a Polish producer of stretch film and cardboard cores based in Piekary Śląskie. We produce all types of stretch film: hand, machine, pre-stretched, minirap, coreless and five-layer Power film. We also produce cardboard cores with diameters from 28 to 250 mm, for our own film and for sale.

Our 12 lines produce 141,000 km of film and 2 million cores a month. We also supply tapes, bubble wrap and packaging accessories as well as stretch wrappers, so your whole order arrives in one delivery with one invoice. You will find the full list in the product and service catalogue.

Who do we produce for?

We supply stretch film to manufacturing companies, logistics centres and distributors that wrap many pallets a day. Cores are bought from us by printing houses, producers of construction films and membranes, and the textile industry.

You can order smaller quantities in the B2B shop, at any time and with dispatch within 24 hours.

Who selects the film and cores?

Machine film, Power film and heavy-duty cores are selected by our production technologist, Łukasz Zębala, together with the sales representative who handles your orders. You get the thickness, working stretch, wall and crush resistance in writing, and the label states the thickness, roll length and working stretch.

How do we work?

We start with a 15-minute conversation about your load, stretch wrapper or roll. Describe them in a request for quotation or call the sales department. You get the parameters in writing and test the test batch on your stretch wrapper before you order a series. For regular deliveries we keep stock of your item in our warehouse and deliver it according to your schedule.

We source raw material from several European suppliers. When one is late, we order from another, and the film specification and delivery date stay the same.

Can you see the production?

Yes. Before signing an annual contract you can come to Piekary Śląskie and see the halls, the raw material warehouse and the yard our lorries leave from. Arrange a visit using the form at the bottom of the page or together with a free packaging audit.

Questions about Dominopack.

Who produces stretch film in Poland?

Several companies produce stretch film in Poland. We have been producing it in Piekary Śląskie since 2010, and since 2015 also cardboard cores, onto which we wind our own film. We produce all types of film: hand, machine, pre-stretched, minirap, coreless and five-layer Power. We run 12 production lines.

Since when has Dominopack produced stretch film?

We have been producing stretch film since 2010. In 2015 we launched production of cardboard cores, and since then both the film and the core have been made by us. This means we set the roll length, film thickness and core diameter according to your order, without waiting for an external core supplier.

What types of stretch film does Dominopack produce?

Hand and machine film from 10 to 30 µm, pre-stretched film from 6 to 11 µm, minirap for parcels and bundles, coreless versions without a core, five-layer Power and ReStretch film with 30% PCR recycled content. We produce hand film, machine film and minirap in nine colours, including black. You will find the parameters of all types in the table on the stretch film page.

What do customers say about Dominopack?

The best way is to check us out yourself. 1,500 regular customers in Poland and Europe buy from us, we buy the cardboard for our cores from leading European paper manufacturers, and with our own transport we keep an eye on delivery dates and the condition of the load. Before signing a contract you can come to Piekary Śląskie and see the production.

Can you buy small quantities of stretch film?

Yes. In the B2B shop sklep.dominopack.pl you can order anything from small quantities to several pallets, without talking to a sales representative and at any time. Dispatch takes 24 hours. For larger volumes and regular deliveries, the quote is prepared by the sales department, usually within an hour.

What does a packaging audit involve?

Our technologist comes to your facility, checks how much film you use per pallet and tests different film variants on your stretch wrapper. Within 5 days you receive a report with the cost of wrapping one pallet (KOP), the film selected for your load and the stretch wrapper settings. The audit is free and does not commit you to buy.

What else does Dominopack offer besides stretch film?

Cardboard cores with diameters from 28 to 250 mm, strapping, packing tapes, bubble wrap, stretch wrappers and packaging equipment and accessories. You order packaging materials in one place, with one delivery and one invoice.

Does Dominopack help choose a stretch wrapper?

Yes. We advise which stretch wrapper suits your pallet volume and type of load, and then select the film and settings for it. We discuss the machine and the film in one conversation, so the parameters match from the first day of operation.

Where is Dominopack's production located?

In Piekary Śląskie at ul. Prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego 85. Film production, core production and the warehouse are at one address. We deliver with our own transport to customers in Poland and seven other European countries. We show our production hall to anyone who wants to see it before signing a contract.

Does Dominopack produce cardboard cores for sale?

Yes, we produce 2 million cores a month. Inner diameters from 28 to 250 mm, wall from 2 to 15 mm, cutting to a tolerance of ±1 mm. We use some for our own film, and the rest goes to printing houses, producers of construction films and membranes, and the textile industry.

How is a cardboard core selected?

By crush resistance given in kN, measured on a press using a 100 mm long sample. This figure tells you how much the core will withstand under the weight of the roll and in storage. Strength is determined by the combination of adhesive and cardboard, and the wall thickness alone says little about it. In our laboratory we test compressive strength, axial alignment and moisture. We write more about selection in the article on core parameters for stretch film.

Arrange a visit or a free audit.

Come to Piekary Śląskie or invite our technologist to your facility. The conversation does not commit you to anything, and afterwards you decide what happens next.
