Opinion on innovativeness · Lublin University of Technology
Our core winding machine recognised as innovative at least on a national scale.
In December 2015, the Faculty of Management of Lublin University of Technology issued an opinion on the innovativeness of the process of producing paper cores on our twelve-reel core winding machine. Below we summarise its conclusions, and you can download the full document.
What the opinion found
Why this machine is innovative.
The opinion concerns a core winding machine that winds and glues up to twelve independent paper strips and forms them into a tube of a given length, wall thickness and diameter. The author of the opinion stated that the technology was innovative compared with what was available on the market at the time for two reasons: proprietary control software and a number of technical and design solutions used in the machine.
Particular mention was made of the forming unit, in which control is based on deviation measurement and a servo mechanism, and of the multi-knife cutter, which significantly speeds up production. Core parameters are set on the operator panel and saved as programs, so switching between core types means selecting a ready program.
The degree of innovativeness was determined by comparing the machine's parameters with machines of this type offered by other manufacturers and by reviewing industry literature. The conclusion: the machine is innovative at least on a national scale.
Parameters from the opinion
