Stretch film · pre-stretched · manufacturer
Pre-stretched film, less film on every pallet.
Pre-stretched film is stretched at the production stage, which is why less of it is used per pallet than ordinary hand stretch film. We produce it in thicknesses from 6 to 11 µm, in 300 or 600 m rolls and always without a core. We deliver it from stock in our warehouse, always to the same specification.

Versions
We produce pre-stretched film in five thicknesses.
We produce every thickness in 300 or 600 m rolls, always without a core. You choose the thickness according to how delicate the load is.

Pre-stretched 6 µm
The thinnest version gives the most metres of film per kilogram. It works well with light, even loads.
- Thickness
- 6 µm
- Width
- 41 / 43 cm
- Stretch
- 40–60%
- Roll
- 300 / 600 m

Pre-stretched 8 µm
The version for light pallets has more reserve at the edges, while the layer is still very thin.
- Thickness
- 8 µm
- Width
- 41 / 43 cm
- Stretch
- 40–60%
- Roll
- 300 / 600 m

Pre-stretched 9 µm
It works well in internal transport, when the pallet travels a short distance between halls and zones.
- Thickness
- 9 µm
- Width
- 41 / 43 cm
- Stretch
- 40–60%
- Roll
- 300 / 600 m

Pre-stretched 10 µm
It works well with delicate loads. It gives more material where the layer has to hold the shape of the load.
- Thickness
- 10 µm
- Width
- 41 / 43 cm
- Stretch
- 40–60%
- Roll
- 300 / 600 m

Pre-stretched 11 µm
The thickest version gives the most material on the pallet and works well on longer internal routes.
- Thickness
- 11 µm
- Width
- 41 / 43 cm
- Stretch
- 40–60%
- Roll
- 300 / 600 m
You can check every thickness on a test batch before you order a series. Order a test batch For heavy loads or loads with sharp corners, choose hand stretch film or machine stretch film. If you need a different specification, describe it in your enquiry.
Parameters
Pre-stretched film parameters.
We produce pre-stretched film in two roll lengths, always transparent and without a core (coreless). We updated the table on 19.10.2026.
| Type | Thickness | Width | Stretch | Colours | Net film weight | Core |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-stretched 300 m | 6–11 (6 · 8 · 9 · 10 · 11) µm | 41 / 43 cm | 40–60% | transparent | – | none |
| Pre-stretched 600 m | 6–11 (6 · 8 · 9 · 10 · 11) µm | 41 / 43 cm | 40–60% | transparent | – | none |
| We also produce film to specifications not listed in the table. Give us the thickness, width and roll length you need, and the sales department will reply whether we can produce it. Describe your specification | ||||||
Applications
Which loads is pre-stretched film suitable for?
Pre-stretched film is used for light loads. It holds them gently, so it works where the strong stretch of ordinary film would crush the carton or the product.
Delicate loads
The film gently holds cartons that crush under stretch and products that must not be squeezed.
6–8 µmInternal transport
The film holds pallets together on short routes between halls and zones, where the load does not need full transport stabilisation.
8–9 µmHorticulture
The film is used to wrap pallets of lettuce, potted flowers and seedlings. A thin layer holds the pallet together without breaking the plants or pots.
6–8 µm
If you wrap a different load, describe it and the sales department will suggest a thickness.
Benefits
What do you gain?
We produce pre-stretched film in standard thicknesses. Four things make the difference.
Less film per pallet
The film is pre-stretched at the production stage, so less of it is used per pallet than ordinary hand stretch film.
Roll without a core
The 300 or 600 m roll has no core, so it is light, and no cardboard is left to sort once it is used up.
The same film in every delivery
We always source raw materials to the same specification, and we measure the film thickness in every batch.
Film from stock
We keep stock of your item in our warehouse and deliver it with our own transport according to your schedule.

Transport
We deliver film with our own fleet.
We deliver film and cores with our own lorries, so we are responsible for the delivery date and the condition of the load ourselves. Stock of your item waits in our warehouse, and further deliveries go out according to your schedule.
Changing supplier
Before you change your film supplier.
These are the questions we hear most often before a first order.
What if the film does not work on my pallets?
We only start the series after you confirm the test batch. So you do not order pallets of film that you have not first checked on your own pallets.
What does the price depend on?
On the thickness, roll length and monthly consumption. We prepare the quote once we receive this data, and you can agree anything missing with the sales department.
When will the first delivery arrive?
We give the date of the first delivery together with the quote. Further deliveries go out from the stock of your item in our warehouse, according to your schedule.
I need a few pieces straight away.
You can buy smaller quantities straight away in our online shop, with dispatch within 24 h and on the same terms as with your account manager.
The sales department will contact you, agree the thickness and roll length, and then prepare a test batch.
Manufacturer
The same pre-stretched film in every delivery.
We source raw materials from leading European suppliers, always to the same specification. In every batch we check the film thickness and winding quality and test how much stretch the film withstands before it breaks. As a result, film from the next delivery works the same as film from the first. Before your order is produced, you can visit us and see how we make it. Get to know us

Questions
Questions about pre-stretched film.
What is pre-stretched film?
It is stretch film pre-stretched at the production stage. You only stretch ordinary film at the pallet, pulling it from the roll. Pre-stretched film has already been through this, so it is thinner and longer, and when wrapping you only guide it. You will also find it under the names prestretch film and pre stretch film.
Why does it wrap without effort?
We stretch it before winding it onto the roll. At the pallet, you do not have to pull the film with your arm to stretch it. This relieves the wrists when wrapping many pallets a day and evens out the wrapping quality regardless of who is packing.
What does it mean that the film contracts?
After wrapping, the layer contracts slightly and holds the load by itself, gently, without sudden tension. That is why pre-stretched film is suitable where the strong stretch of ordinary film would crush the carton or the product.
Which loads is it suitable for?
It is suitable for delicate loads, for internal transport between halls and for horticulture, where lettuce, potted flowers and seedlings are wrapped. In all these cases gentle containment matters more than maximum holding force.
How does it differ from ordinary hand stretch film?
It differs in thickness, stretch and the way it works. Pre-stretched film is 6 to 11 µm, and hand stretch film 10 to 30 µm. Pre-stretched film works at a stretch of 40–60%, because most of the stretching has already been done, while hand stretch film works at a stretch of 180%. Hand stretch film holds the load more firmly, while pre-stretched film holds it more gently and gives more metres per kilogram.
Why does pre-stretched film have no core?
With such thin film, a core would make up a significant part of the roll weight, and once the film was used up it would remain as waste to sort. Without a core, the roll is lighter in the hand and leaves no cardboard.
When should you choose hand stretch film instead of pre-stretched film?
With heavy loads and loads that have sharp corners. A thin layer has lower puncture resistance and less holding force than 23 µm film, so on a pallet with protruding edges it will wear through faster. For such loads, choose hand or machine stretch film.
Does pre-stretched film reduce film consumption?
Yes, you use up to 40% less film per pallet than with ordinary stretch film. By stretching the film at the production stage, we get more metres from a kilogram of raw material than can be pulled out by hand at the pallet. This is the result of our measurements of film consumption per pallet at customers' sites. The exact result depends on how tightly you wrap today.
Which roll should you choose, 300 or 600 metres?
The shorter roll is lighter and more comfortable for wrapping by hand throughout a shift. The longer one means less frequent roll changes, so less downtime with a large number of pallets. We produce both roll lengths in the same thicknesses.
